Zawjly Community Guidelines
Welcome to the Zawjly Community! Zawjly is built on the principles of Islamic Adab (good manners), respect, and sincere intentions. To maintain a safe and halal environment for all Muslims seeking marriage, every user and Wali is expected to strictly follow these Community Guidelines.
1. Marriage Intentions Only
Zawjly is exclusively a matrimonial platform. You must be genuinely seeking a halal Islamic marriage. Do not use this platform for casual dating, making friends, networking, or promoting business.
2. Respectful and Islamic Conduct
Always communicate with respect, humility, and proper Islamic manners. Use respectful language when speaking to a potential match or their Wali. Flirting or inappropriate banter is forbidden.
3. No Explicit or Inappropriate Content
The sharing, requesting, or posting of sexually explicit messages, photos, or inappropriate content is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate permanent ban.
4. No Harassment or Abuse
We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, bullying, abusive language, or threats. Respect boundaries. If someone is not interested, respectfully move on.
5. No Solicitation of Money
You may never ask another user for money, financial assistance, investments, or donations for any reason. Any attempt to solicit funds will lead to immediate account termination.
6. No Scams or Impersonation
You must provide truthful and accurate information about yourself. Do not use fake photos, lie about your marital status, age, profession, or impersonate anyone else.
7. Do Not Bypass the Wali System
Female users must appoint an appropriate and legitimate Wali or guardian in accordance with Islamic requirements and local practice to act as their Wali. Creating a fake Wali account for yourself, or assigning a friend to act as a Wali without legitimacy, undermines the safety of the platform and is strictly prohibited.
8. Off-Platform Contact
Do not share your personal phone number, social media handles, or off-platform contact details prematurely before the platform permits it or before the Wali has been properly involved. All initial interactions must take place securely within the app.
9. Genuine Intentions and Good Faith
Approach every conversation with honest and genuine intentions. Do not string someone along if you know you are not compatible. Be honest about your expectations, religious practices, and background.
Reporting Violations If you encounter a user who violates any of these guidelines, please use the in-app reporting tools or contact our moderation team immediately. Zawjly relies on our community to keep the platform safe and halal. Please note that false reports, malicious reporting, or misuse of our moderation systems are strictly prohibited and may themselves constitute violations of these Community Guidelines.
