Zawjly Terms of Service

Welcome to Zawjly! By downloading, accessing, or using the Zawjly mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Zawjly is a halal matrimonial platform designed specifically for Muslims seeking marriage in accordance with Islamic principles.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Who Can Use Zawjly
Zawjly is exclusively for single Muslims seeking a halal marriage. You may only use this App if you are: - A practicing Muslim seeking a spouse. - Legally permitted to enter into a marriage contract under applicable laws in your jurisdiction. - Providing accurate, truthful, and current information about yourself.
2. Minimum Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Zawjly. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If we discover that a user is under 18, their account will be terminated immediately.
3. The Wali (Guardian) System & Bypass Prohibition
Zawjly integrates a Wali (Islamic Guardian) system for female users to ensure all interactions remain halal, supervised, and respectful. - Female Users: You must invite an appropriate and legitimate Wali or guardian in accordance with Islamic requirements and local practice to act as your Wali. - Strict Prohibition on Bypassing: Female users are strictly prohibited from bypassing the system by creating fake Wali accounts for themselves or assigning non-relatives/friends as Walis. - Wali Responsibilities: A Wali account must only be operated by the actual Guardian. Any attempt to bypass the Wali system, impersonate a Guardian, or manipulate the platform’s security features will result in an immediate, permanent ban of both the user and the associated Wali account.
4. Acceptable Behavior & Islamic Conduct
Users are expected to conduct themselves with Adab (good manners) and respect at all times. - Conversations must remain strictly purposed toward marriage. - You agree not to post or transmit any content that is sexually explicit, haram, abusive, defamatory, or fraudulent. - You agree not to solicit money, promote commercial activities, or use the app for any purpose other than seeking marriage. - Flirting, inappropriate language, or requesting un-Islamic interactions (e.g., meeting in private without a Wali) is strictly forbidden.
5. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account, at any time, without notice or refund, if we believe you have violated these Terms, compromised the safety of other users, or acted against the Islamic spirit of the platform. All moderation decisions, restrictions, suspensions, and bans are made at Zawjly’s sole discretion and may be final.
6. Account Inactivity
Zawjly reserves the right to deactivate or remove accounts that remain inactive for an extended period in order to maintain platform quality, security, and data hygiene.
7. No Guarantee of Marriage & No Identity Verification Guarantee
Zawjly provides a platform to connect individuals seeking marriage. We do not guarantee that you will find a spouse, nor do we guarantee the compatibility, background, or true intentions of any user. Furthermore, Zawjly does not independently verify every user's identity, marital status, employment, education, financial standing, family background, or religious commitment. Users must conduct their own due diligence before proceeding with a match.
8. User Responsibility for Interactions
You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. - We strongly advise users to conduct their own background checks before meeting in person or proceeding with marriage. - Zawjly is not responsible for the conduct of any user, online or offline. - Any physical meetings should take place in public, fully supervised by the Wali, in accordance with Islamic principles.
9. Subscription Terms
Zawjly offers premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions (e.g., Weekly, 3-Months). - Payment will be charged to your Apple ID/App Store account at confirmation of purchase. - Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. - You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your App Store Account Settings after purchase.
10. Refund Policy
All purchases are final. Because payments are processed directly by Apple via the App Store, Zawjly cannot issue refunds directly. If you believe you were charged in error, you must request a refund directly through Apple Customer Support. Please Note: Users whose accounts are suspended or terminated for violating these Terms may not be eligible for refunds, subject to applicable laws and the policies of the relevant app marketplace.
11. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, software, designs, text, and content associated with Zawjly remain the exclusive property of Zawjly and may not be copied, modified, or reproduced without our explicit written permission.
12. Service Modifications
Zawjly reserves the right to modify, suspend, discontinue, or remove any features of the App at any time without prior notice or liability.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zawjly is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, emotional, financial, or reputational damages arising from your use of the platform, your inability to use the platform, or your interactions with other users on or off the App.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, while accommodating the international nature of our platform where required by law.
15. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App, we encourage users to attempt a good-faith resolution by contacting Zawjly support first before commencing any formal legal proceedings.
